Learning from our emotions (and our pets)
I’ve always had a connection with pets. When I was born, my family had a German Shepherd named Heidi. I used to take naps with my head on her belly, and my mom would say she would stay there, still, until I woke up!
At age 28, I brought home a Siberian Husky puppy and named him Sergei. The next 12 years brought many trials and challenges, but they also ended up being the most healing and catalytic of my life, allowing me to become who I am today.
In reflection, I could see his lessons for me during each and every one of those moments. Pets truly are our greatest teachers and healers, as well as companions, throughout life! It’s my honor to share these with you in Sergei’s Eyes, Reflections of Soul Lessons . You’ll also understand why he was the inspiration and legacy for my nonprofit, The Sergei Foundation.
